For many years Oney has been the preferred partner of the Group’s large retailers (Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Norauto, Boulanger), Oney bank dedicated CPI/ADE offer but also non-partner brands specialized in e-commerce.

 

Role overview

Reporting directly to our CFO, our Head of Treasury & ALM ensures all tasks related to cash management, investments and analysis related to Assets of our companies.

He develops a proper gap analysis in relation with our Actuarial and Accounting Departments, to optimise our Investment Policy, Asset Liability Management and Solvency Requirements.

Improvement, implementation of any new tool and processes to increase our efficiency will be key to accompany our development.

As part of the role, cash management, direct contacts with our bank partners as well as relation and reports with our Group Treasury will also be key in the position.

He will also lead or contribute to any studies related to financial matters, in direct link the our Chief Financial Officer and other departments of the Company (internal efficiency, operational risks, forecasts or technical analysis).

 

Key Responsibilities

Our Head of Treasury shall carry out the following, non-exhaustive, duties among:

  • Maintain bank relationships and partnerships, including bank mandates, all administrative related documentation, update and maintenance of all systems dedicated to cash management, investments or compliance.
  • Forecast and anticipate major cash flows to optimise our investments and internal efficiency.
  • Ensure the follow up of all receivables and, in relation with operations and sales department, take appropriate measure to avoid any delay and risks related to recoverability of any amount due.
  • Suggest and monitor all investments according to our duly validated Investment policy and report to our Investment Committee.
  • Prepare and control all reporting related to cash and other assets for Group purposes, internal control, portfolio management, dedicated committee or regulatory purposes.
  • Liaise with our Actuarial Department in order to:

– Optimize and reduce SCR related to Counterparty, spread, rate and liquidity risks.

– Contribute and maintain proper ALM analysis.

Who are you ?

Studies:

  • A degree in Business School, Mathematics, Economics or Financial Risk Management
  • Previous experience in finance or in the insurance industry (Group Treasury Department, Retail banking, financial control with direct link with bank industry).
  • Deep interest in bancassurance

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in a similar position (including ALM, modeling of financial asset…).

Language:

Good level of English is a must as well as French. Any other EU language is an asset.

IT Skills:

System based oriented, great ability with Excel.

  • Be great at connecting with people from various countries and understanding their needs and demands,
  • Technical, but with real human relationships interest,
  • Strong ability to suggest and implement new processes,
  • Strong analytical, goal-oriented mind is a must for this position,
  • Someone assertive but good in transmitting trust and building relationships,

What are the Terms of your employment?

  • Indefinite contract
  • Offices based in Sliema, Malta
  • Salary depends on experience, profile and qualification (Above €40 k).
