Table soccer aims to be taken seriously at Oney Insurance
the 01/09/21Fun times at Oney! This month, 22 employees tested their skills against self-proclaimed table soccer champions and battled to take the title of Oney Table Soccer Champions! To keep up a high level of concentration, and to remain calm under pressure was quite a challenge…booing, clapping, shouting and proper refereeing too.
It did not matter how old they were, where they came from or if they were male or female. At Oney Insurance it just did not matter…..
11 teams were competing for the trophy which in the end went to the ‘Tal-Palestina’ Team made up of Bernard Fenech and Stefan Zammit. Runner ups were teams ‘Lightning Bolts’ made up of Alessandro Certelli and Elaine Scerri and ‘We showed up’ made up of Mark Micallef and John Gregory Bonnici.
Well done to all the participants and to the winners…lets see if they will be able to keep the trophy next year….table soccer training by the competitors has already started!
